Announcements
Welcome to English!
I am excited to have your student in class this year. All your student will need for English will be a pen or pencil, a folder, and paper.  They will be reading novels, poetry, short stories, and non-fiction selections this year.  We will be taking exams, writing papers, and completing group projects in class. Your student will also need to read AR this year. 7th grade students will be reading different genres.  The genre chart is found on their webpage. 8th grade students will be accumulating points based on their reading levels. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at khart@usd439.k12.ks.us.
Moon Over Manifest
We will be starting this novel which is set in Kansas.  It is a Newberry winner, and it is a great story about the power of memory and family.
